Language
- We will continue our work on constructing paragraphs using the
3.8 model.
Students will be graded on their final piece. You can view
our class work
by referring to the Language section in the binder.
Reading
- Stories - A Prehistoric Park, Animals Come Home to Our National
Parks,
Saving a National Park. Vocabulary - roamed, completed, journey,
natural,
wildlife. Skills - main idea/details, reading a dictionary entry,
compound
words. Test Friday.
Math
- Review rounding. Test Thursday. New skills - Estimating totals made up
of
larger numbers, using money to understand decimals, counting money, and
making
change.
Social
Studies - Test Tuesday on map and globe definitions. These can be found
inside the Social Studies binder section. Please use them to prepare for the
test. We will continue our study of map and globe skills - identifying the
parts of a map, labeling and using a compass rose, using a distance scale, using
a map grid and index, reading different types of maps.
Science
- Continue investigations using the Scientific Method. Test next week.
