Reading:
This week we will be reading "Gecko Glue, cockroach Scouts, and Spider Silk Bridges." The students will be learning strategies for reading nonfiction texts.

English:

-The students will be writing a friendly letter. They will be learning to use a flow map as a way to organize their writing. This strategy also helps them include strong main ideas and descriptive details.
-We will be completing Daily Language Activities to reinforce grammar and punctuation skills.
-Check the Homework Board daily for assignments.
-Review vocabulary, review guides, and handouts NIGHTLY. Quizzes are given frequently.

Spelling:
-We will be reviewing long and short vowels this week.
-Check the Homework Board daily for assignments.
-Study NIGHTLY

Social Studies:
-This week we will continue our study of early civilizations and cultures.
-Review of parallel time lines.
-Chapter 1: Lessons 1-3 Test Friday
-Check the Homework Book for daily homework assignments.
