I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. It's hard to believe that in three weeks it will be holiday time again!

Please check the information previously sent home
on the H1N1 virus. Paperwork does not have to
be returned to M.M.S.

This Week at a Glance

Spelling - Unit 19 - The students will learn that the
suffixes -able or -ible can be added to base words and
root words to form new words.

English - Unit 7 - The students will learn that using
pronouns is a convenient way to avoid repeating
nouns in our writing.

Reading - We will begin studying about newspapers in
a unit called "Extra! Extra!" The students will learn
that the newspaper is an artifact of modern life.
Terminology regarding the paper will be introduced.

Social Studies - The students will begin a unit on
Ancient China. This week, we will describe how the
geography in China makes it a diverse country.
