The students looked so nice in their free dress clothes on Thursday. We have only one week before we take the LEAP writing and math constructive response questions.

The LEAP is next Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

This week the students reading and math grades will come from participation and homework. I will have an updated check list in their reading and math binder with expectations listed and how they can receive an A for the week.

Weekly Schedule

Reading - We will be working on LEAP review this week. Grades will be based on class participation and homework participation. I will have a sheet in their reading binder with their daily grades. Please check for this.

Language: We are working on writing and Informational resources. A DOL quiz will be given on Friday.

Math
We will be working on geometry, measurement, and fractions this week. A checklist will be in their binder with expectations and daily grades. A daily Math Quiz will be given on Friday.

Science
This week we are learning about minerals and the rock cycle. Students will have notes they can study from. A test will be given at the end of next week.

Social Studies
Daily Geo Due Friday.
We are starting a unit on the Southwest. This is in Chapter 10 of our Social Studies book. A test on the states, capitals, and abbreviations will be next Thursday.
