Weekly Schedule

Reading:
Roadrunner's Dance - pages 280-297
This week skills are author's purpose, evaluating questions, and using a thesaurus.
Selection Test and Vocabulary Test will be on Friday. Cold Comprehension will be next Monday.
Continue to read each night. Your goal is to reach 70% of your AR goal by the end of November.

Language: Students will be writing an essay. They will brainstorm, write a rough draft, edit, and publish a paper. We are also working on editing skills in Daily Language. Daily language test will be on Thursday.

Spelling: The words this week will have an er, ir, or ur spelling.

Test - Thursday

Math
Students will work on rules for tables, problem solving, and solving multiplication and division equations. We have been working on problem solving strategies.
Lesson 3-13 through 3-15 Test Friday.

You should know your time tables from 0-10 by December 1st.

Science
We are starting a unit on plants. Students will learn about plant parts and adaptations of plants. Class activities will be graded.

Social Studies
We are starting a unit on the Southeast. Students will complete a map of the Southeast. Capital and abbreviation test will be next Thursday. Naming the states will be next Friday.
