WEEK: Spelling:
Unit 29 suffixes -ion, -tion, -ation. Class work and/or home work may be graded.
Test Thursday.
English: We will continue Unit 11 Adverbs. Students
are comparing with adverbs, avoiding double negatives, using commas, and reviewing
prefixes. We will also continue to review skills such as synonyms/ antonyms, reading
charts and graphs, capitalization, and punctuation. Class work and/or home work
may be graded.
Reading: Students will continue to work with figurative
language. We will continue our unit on Fairy Tales/ Myths. We are reading the
novel "A Stranger Came Ashore." They will have a test Tues. or Wed.
on chapters 5-6 story and voc. We will read creation myths and discuss what makes
a hero in stories/myths. We read AR books daily for at least 20 minutes. This
is when students are allowed to eat a nutritious snack.
Social Studies:
We are completing our unit on Ancient Greece. Quiz Wed. on gods and goddess. Class
work and/or home work may be graded.
