Chapter 5 We will continue working with different graphs and data analysis.
Stem and leaf plots and circle maps will be completed in depth this week. We will
do a group graphing activity. We will also begin probability. (Chapter 5 - 5.4-5.10) Wednesday:
Test on concepts covered this week. (5.4-5.8) Thursday: M4T 27 quiz Science:
Plant and Animal Cells. We will compare and contrast. We will then look
at cells to organs and begin a group project. Thursday:
Quiz on plant and animal cells. Cell folder due.

| Reading:
The students will be reading Zathura this week. In class activities are
planned. Reading Comprehension test: Thursday. Reading
Log: 20 minutes at least 4 days per week. More is better because "reading
makes readers"! Spelling:
Unit 6-1 Pre-test - Monday Test - Thursday Homework: Spelling choices
- found on line - 3 due on Thursday for all students not making an A on the pre-test
Science: This
week: Cells to Systems. Students are working on cooperative group lessons. Presentations
are due Tuesday. We will begin: Microbes

Studies: Students will work on their colonial occupation presentations; these
will be presented in class on Thursday. We WILL have daily questions...all
three will be due on Thursday. *The daily questions will also be listed
on my classchatterlive webpage. Language: We will have "mini" lessons
daily on specific GLE's-- required fifth grade skills. There is a language assignment
on classchatter that must be posted by Wednesday.
Science: Will
have questions of the day in science, also. They will be completed and checked daily
in class; they will not be for homework. Short quiz over simple machines on Wednesday.
We will begin types of energy on Thursday.
