Dear Parents, Students, and Visitors,

I hope you all enjoyed your summer and are now ready for a new school year like I am. We are continuing to develop our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program which is a state wide program adopted by St. Tammany School Parish a few years ago. This year our behavior program based upon the FISH philosophy which has four expectations.

1. Choose your attitude – we would like students to know they can choose how they will behave, the attitude with which they approach school work, how to interact with others, the manner which they accept consequences, etc……..

It takes fewer muscles to smile than frown so, be happy!

2. Make their day – students can help others by being kind, attentive in class, inclusive when playing, using manners, etc………

Say “hello” and greet people with a smile!

3. Be there – have all supplies ready for class, act respectfully, listen carefully to what is going on at the time, etc………

Look people in the eye when they talk to you!

4. Have fun – enjoy each activity and person they come in contact with, yet knowing when to play and when to work

Laugh with others not at them!

As you walk through school, you will notice the FISH philosophy posted with expected behaviors in the various areas. The more we learn and are reminded of what our expectations are, the more we will practice them.

With your support and the dedication of our faculty and staff, we will have an awesome year.

Please e-mail or call if there is anything you would like me to know or if there is something I can do for you, your child, or your family.

Sincerely,

Ms. Judy
